The much awaited trailer of Shamitabh is finally out. And going by the trailer, the film seems to take you on a fun roller coaster ride with the bickering rivalry between it’s two leads
Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush’s upcoming film, Shamitabh has already created tremendous buzz. Directed by R Balki, the film also marks the debut of Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan. While the story of the film has been kept in tight wraps, it is being rumoured that Dhanush enjoyed shooting for the film since he was playing a deaf and mute, and so had no Hindi lines to deliver. After a few captivating posters and a unique promotional strategy of releasing audio teasers, the makers of Shamitabh have finally unveiled the trailer.
I took a quick sneak peak at the trailer and below is my first impression of it:
As the trailer opens we get a glimpse of Dhanush, a small town boy who is shown to have attained heights of super stardom after some struggle. Later, superstar Amitabh Bachchanmakes an impressive entry, as a drunkard, who is always at loggerheads with Dhanush. And cute looking Akshara Haasan seems to be the bridge between the two. By looking at the trailer, I got the impression that Shamitabh is about a deaf and dumb superstar, played by Dhanush and his filmi voice artist, played by Amitabh. Throughout the trailer the constant bickering between the two adds flavour to the proceedings. Dhanush and Amitabh look great together, and R Balki seems blessed with this fantastic team of talented actors.
